Turnovers that keep your ratings up
We clean short-term rentals in Whistler and Pemberton to a consistent turnover standard. Every visit runs the same routine, timed to the gap between checkout and the next check-in, so guests arrive to the same property every time.
Or call 604-902-5930A turnover is a reset, not a tidy. When the next guest opens the door the property should look unused: no hair in the shower, no ring on the nightstand, no half-empty toilet roll. Those details are what reviews are written about.
So we work the same routine in the same order every visit. High-touch surfaces disinfected, kitchen and bathrooms to a hotel standard, beds made with fresh linens, consumables restocked to the level you set. Your written checklist holds that routine in place, and we walk the property as a guest would before locking up.
Timing matters as much as the clean. Peak-season windows are tight, so we plan the route around your checkout and check-in and finish with time to spare.
Why does the entryway matter so much?
Guests form an impression within seconds of arriving, and the entry is where mountain conditions show up first: ski boots, gravel and road salt. We treat arrival as part of the clean, airing the space if needed, checking the lights, and setting the thermostat to your default.
We also flag anything we notice on the way in, such as damage, an odour or a left-behind item, so you hear about it before a guest does.
Arrival and entry, every turnover
- Approved access method used and confirmed
- Any damage, odor, or issue noted and flagged
- Windows opened to air out if needed
- Lights tested for basic function
- Thermostat set to host default
What gets disinfected on a turnover?
Every surface a guest touches is cleaned and sanitised, in the same order each visit. That includes the items often missed: the TV remote, the thermostat and the front door keypad.
High-touch surfaces, every turnover
- Door handles inside and out, on every room and the entry
- Light switches and wall plates, including hallways and stairs
- TV remotes and soundbar controls, wiped and batteries checked
- Faucets, taps, and shower handles in kitchen and baths
- Toilet handles and flush buttons
- Keypads, smart locks, and door codes at the entry
- Thermostats and climate controls
We use a food-safe disinfectant on hard surfaces and leave it the full contact time the label specifies rather than wiping it straight off. Cloths are colour coded, so a bathroom cloth never touches a kitchen counter.
How thorough is the kitchen clean?
Thorough enough to include the ceiling of the microwave. We work top to bottom: leftovers cleared from the fridge, dishes washed and returned to place, crumb tray emptied, sink and tap polished so there are no water spots on the steel.

Kitchen turnover checklist
- Counters and backsplash sanitized corner to corner
- Stovetop and knobs cleaned, no ring around the burners
- Inside the microwave, including the ceiling and turntable
- Fridge wiped inside and out, leftovers removed, seals cleaned
- Coffee maker emptied, wiped, and descaled if needed
- Sink and faucet polished, no water spots on the steel
- Dishes washed, dried, and put away where they belong

What makes a bathroom guest-ready?
Bathrooms are where guests look closest. We clean the whole toilet, including the base, behind it and the flush handle, squeegee the glass streak-free, and polish the fixtures. The final step is a close-up check for the three things guests notice first: hair, water spots and streaks.
Bathroom turnover checklist
- Full toilet clean, including base, behind, and flush handle
- Shower and tub scrubbed, glass squeegeed streak free
- No hair left anywhere, on floors, drains, or surfaces
- Mirrors clear, no toothpaste spots or smears
- Fixtures polished, chrome and tapware shining
- Grout and tile lines detailed where grime builds up
- Towels folded and set out to your standard

Do you handle linens and restocking?
Yes, both. Beds are stripped and remade with fresh linens and a hotel fold, towels replaced and set out to your preference, and consumables restocked to the level you set. We also check closets for left-behind belongings and confirm the space matches your listing photos.
- Toilet paper, minimum two visible rolls per bathroom
- Hand soap and any toiletries you provide for guests
- Kitchen dish soap, sponge, and paper towels
- Coffee, tea, and kitchen consumables checked and topped up
- Trash liners in every bin
Before we lock up we walk the home as a guest would, room by room, re-checking bathrooms and kitchen for hair, crumbs, streaks, and odors. We can send a photo of the finished space so you know it is guest ready.
Clean glass, polished fixtures, fresh beds, full supplies and no stray hair are checked last on every visit. The same standard applies to every turnover.
We plan around your checkout and check-in times, especially in peak season, and finish with time in hand so the unit is ready before the next guests arrive.
Managing more than one unit?
One unit or a dozen, the standard holds whoever is on the job, and each property keeps its own checklist. Send us your checkout and check-in times, your restocking list and any details specific to the unit, and we'll take it from there.
